HOW DO I JOIN?

CERT members receive 16 hours (one day a week for 8 weeks) of initial training. The 8-week course* is followed by monthly refresher drills, additional training, and several opportunities to assist the Heber-Overgaard Fire Department at local incidents and other related events.

 

"A  new class will begin Wednesday, June 1,  at 7:00 p.m. at the Heber/Overgaard Fire Station.  Classes will be each Wednesday thereafter through July 20.  If you are interested in getting training in Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations Part 1 & 2, Light Search & Rescue, Disaster Psychology, and Terrorism, this is the program for you.

CERT is provided free of charge within the city Heber-Overgaard to anyone 18 or over.
